Prince Albert Police Association: Shop with a Cop
The annual Shop with a Cop event pairs up Prince Albert police officers with students to shop for family members for the holidays
Students and Prince Albert police officers teamed up to take care of some Christmas shopping at Canadian Tire on Thursday. As part of the annual Shop with a Cop program, 25 students were paired up with a police officer as they searched for Christmas presents for their family members. Crime Stoppers contributed $2,500 for 25 gift cards so each student could receive a $100 gift card.
Local Crime Stoppers treasurer Ron Bird has attended Shop with a Cop for the past two or three years.
“We just feel it’s a great opportunity for the school age children to be paired up with the police officer in an effort to learn that the police are here to assist us,” he said.
